1960s SANTA CLAUS SNOWMOBILE Battery Tin Toy TN, JAPAN Christmas Decoration

This listing is for a vintage SANTA CLAUS SNOWMOBILE made in Japan, in the 1960s. This is one of the most desirable of the Santa toys of that era. This one has issues but still displays great, especially as a Christmas decoration. The toy is rather large, measuring approximately 9 inches tall, and is made mostly of tin with plastic accents and rubber Santa head. It features great tin litho all around. The main problem is that the toy is missing the battery cover which has the rear wheels. Also, there  is a split in the floor boards which is not readily apparent from the top. Santa is permanently affixed to the vehicle (normally removable). I was able to test the toy using tin foil to connect the battery terminals and it still works–the motor turns and the front and rear lights illuminate. Despite the issues, it is a wonderful display piece from a bygone era.
